Ubisoft's putting a stop to Assassin's Creed Odyssey XP Farming Quests.

2019-07-14 04:10:50

Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Story Creator mode is a compact editor that allows you to design and share quests using some of the same tools. Soon, players realized they could use it to promote XP and cash, too, with minimal effort. That won't last, though, because ubisoft wants to stop it. Give people mod tools and they'll do a lot of great things, and unless the Assassin's Creed Odyssey has an experience system, they'll crash it.

Ubisoft's putting a stop to Assassin's Creed Odyssey XP Farming Quests.

Ubisoft put their foot down on players making self-completing XP farming quests, officially stating that their prevalence leads to "less visibility for the creative, interesting and frankly fantastic community stories that have been published". "These exploits risk jeopardising the overall quality, integrity, and purpose of Story Creator Mode and results in less visibility for the creative, interesting and frankly fantastic community stories that have been published," reads the forum announcement. Worth noting that Ubisoft still sell XP boosters of their own.  But they say they're making the offending quests less visible, so they "will not appear in our automatic recommendation system". Players can report offending quests, and Ubi say "we will be sanctioning those who continue to willingly and intentionally misuse the tool".

While you can't just do a task that offers XP or cash for free, you can create a task that is so fast, simple, and low-cost that it is virtually the same.

In addition to operating system changes and possible bans, the actions include removing agricultural missions from the recommendation system so they cannot enter the Hall of Game or tending section; To conceal all stories reported for exploitation; Further solutions and future updates will be announced in the near future.
